    Albert Pujols

... is crushing the ball, 3 HR in 2 games. Does anybody see him hitting more than 73?

i'd like to see it though because i feel he is free of steroids. 73 un-aided would be mighty tough.

    Re: Albert Pujols

i saw him in the wbc and the guy is huge. best right handed hitter since dimaggio. imo he still has the speed to play in the outfield and the range to play 3rd. It is very luckly this guy could put up 70 homers, 130 rbis, hit .330 and steal 20 bases.

Yeah but he hits 3 in a spring training game a few days ago, and then 3 in the first 2 games of the year. I guess it just depends on how long he stays hot and if he goes into a slump.

    Re: Albert Pujols

I dont think the word slump is in Pujol's vocabulary. I am going to go out on a limb and say Pujols hits atleast 600 hrs. and becomes one of four other guys with 600 dingers, 3000 hits (Aaron, Murray, Mays, Bonds*, and Pujols).

*Bonds should get his 3000 hit by no later then the all star break.

    Re: Albert Pujols

He's got the talent, he's also shown he can play through injury, even though he's never had something as bad as say, Griffey.

On a side note, Griffey passed Mantle today for 12th on the all-time homer list. That's amazing to me considering he's missed 350+ games since 2001.

    Re: Albert Pujols

I really thought Griffey was gonna be in Bonds shoes right now without the whole steriod thing. He could still have 600.

    Re: Albert Pujols

i don't see pujols slumping for an extended amount of time. he hits the ball well to the opposite field. he can also drive the ball out of the yard to all parts of the field. this alone will prevent prolonged slumps.
